Lindsay Galbraith

Marketing Coordinator

Raised in the Thompson Okanagan, Lindsay moved to Vancouver in pursuit of an acting career, which unbeknownst to her at the time – actually meant a career in the hospitality industry. Years of tending bar and managing restaurants offered her the freedom to travel, and after traveling through Southeast Asia and Europe - she decided to connect her interest in travel with her creativity and pursue a career in marketing for the tourism industry. Outside of marketing, you can find her getting lost in the outdoors or clinging to her acting dreams in a local sketch comedy group.

Tell us about a special discovery that you’ve made in Canada?

“Mystery Lake is a small secluded lake just 50 minutes from downtown Vancouver. After a short 20 – 30 minute hike off Seymour Mountain, arrive at a quiet little lake perfect for swimming, lounging and cliff jumping.”

What is your best travel memory in Canada?

"I grew up camping in the Okanagan and still go back whenever I can. My favorite memories involve starry skies, endless lakes and the hypnotic dance of campfire. Even the drive heading out is memorable – with the rolling desert hills near Kamloops and the sparkling lakes as you drive further east."

What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once in your life?

“A Rockies getaway in the wintertime! It offers a new perspective of Canada's prized gem without the crowds and with an added layer of magic. There's nothing like looking out the window from a cozy lodge after a day of snow-shoeing and ice canyon exploring to see a snowy blanket drape frozen lakes and towering mountains - it feels like you've stumbled into your own snowy fairy tale. It's the kind of vacation that will have you over-using the word 'magical' and you won't even feel bad about it.”
